Our spring poetry course, Sisyphus Pushing the Boulder Up the Hill, is all ready to go, except for our tentative dates and times--but believe us, we are working on nailing that down as soon we can! We can tell you that our location will be a restaurant or classroom or community room in the North Hills.
We do however have official dates and times for the first class in our Location Series: The Flower is a Symbol. In this class we'll meet and tour Phipps to find inspiration in the wide world of flora for our creative writing. Sign up soon, as class sizes are limited. For more information on both The Flower is a Symbol and Sisyphus Pushing the Boulder Up the Hill, visit the Classes page.
Flashbang! is also hard at work preparing for National Poetry Month, when we will be participating in NaPoWriMo here on the blog. Check back here every day in April, as we will be publishing a new poetry prompt every day. And (this is the best part!) we are going to publish a new poem every day, including poems we wrote, poems our students wrote, and poems you--yes you--send to us. Got a poem you want to share? Email it to us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
And stay tuned for a big announcement about our First Annual Poem-A-Thon, coming in April.
